Phoenix House offers a stabilization and transitional living residence in a safe, quiet residential home setting for male-identifying, non-binary, and two-spirited individuals aged 19 and older. This program is designed for individuals post-detox and is intended to bridge the gap between crisis or instability and longer-term treatment, recovery, and community support by offering care coordination, service navigation, and connection to appropriate resources.
During this 30-45-day program, participants receive assistance in developing and stabilizing their daily living activities and wellness routines. Psychosocial and medical support is also provided, including safe coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, medication management, medical care, and stabilization of health and well-being.
Phoenix supports participants in preparing for the next step in their self-directed recovery journey, as well as provides a supportive and collaborative atmosphere to help establish healthy lifestyles and foster community inclusion.
This licensed stabilization program is funded by Fraser Health. It also includes meal service, transportation, laundry, service navigation, case management, nursing support, and 24/7 on-site staff.
Reach out to Phoenix at [email protected] or 604-583-7166 if you or someone you know would like to participate in this program. Referrals are completed by a community care team with the individual and in partnership with the applicable Regional Health Authority Liaison. The Phoenix team is available via the phone to answer any questions you may have. Please contact our team if you need any support.
After joining the program, each person connects with a Phoenix team member who walks them through what to expect and how to get ready.
In the first two weeks, residents help create a care plan based on their goals. This can include health care, medication support, and options for harm reduction or managing withdrawal. We do our best to make the process feel easy and supportive, and our team is always here to answer questions and help you feel prepared.
