Bentley Place

About

Bentley Place Supportive Housing is a six-storey, long-term supportive housing community in Surrey, offering 60 self-contained studio homes for adults experiencing housing instability or at risk of homelessness. The building features accessible units, shared dining and lounge spaces, a commercial kitchen serving hot meals, and an elevator to support mobility and ease of access. There is a floor dedicated to female-identifying residents, with space also intended to support Indigenous people, seniors, people with disabilities, and others facing barriers to safe housing.

All residents have access to on-site case management and Peer Support Workers, ensuring consistent, relationship-based support and culturally sensitive service delivery. Services focus on practical life skills that support independent living, including managing finances, attending appointments, establishing daily routines, and accessing education and community-based resources. Residents are supported to define their own goals, strengthen self-reliance, and, when desired, explore future housing options.

How to Particpate

Interested applicants can connect with a community partner to complete a Supportive Housing Registry application and submit it to the registry. When a vacancy occurs, criteria for the vacancy is sent to all community partners. Community partners will submit Supportive Housing Registry applications along with a VAT (Vulnerability Assessment Tool) to the Access and Assessment Coordinator from BC Housing and Program Manager of Bentley Place. The applications are brought forward to the Community Access Table and assessed based on need and criteria. Once the appropriate applicant is decided, The Program Manager and BC Housing Access and Assessment Coordinator will schedule an interview to determine program suitability.
