Phoenix’s Community Garden transformed vacant City of Surrey land into a vibrant, inclusive space rooted in connection, food security, and shared growth. The mixed-use garden includes large and small planter boxes, accessible raised beds, and fruit and nut trees.
Half of the plots are nurtured by Phoenix service recipients, while the remaining beds are tended by local community members and organizations. People of all abilities are welcome to participate. The Phoenix Community Garden is a joint collaboration with the City of Surrey.
This important community space fosters a sense of belonging, skill-building, and cultural connection. It offers fresh food, time outdoors, and meaningful opportunities to grow together.
