You’re invited! Come Paint a Little House at Little House

Phoenix Society invites the community to join us to ‘paint a little house at Little House.’

This free community event will involve craft time, and we invite the community to join us in creating a Community Art Installation. Wooden ‘Little House’ cut-outs will be available to be painted and will be used to create a lasting mural. Complimentary meals will also be served out of the Phoenix Flame BBQ Food Truck during the event.

The event will run from noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Little House located at 5061 12th Ave., Delta.

“We hope you’ll join us as we create a lasting art installation in the community,” says Debbi McKenzie, Little House.

This event is celebrating Little House’s merger earlier this year with Phoenix Society.

Little House provides enhanced support to individuals struggling with substance use and their families.  We offer free one-on-one counselling, workshops, education sessions and recovery group meetings as well as room rentals. This year’s merger came about after a joint recognition that the organizations’ values aligned, and together could provide enhanced support to more individuals struggling with substance use and their families.

“Phoenix had been working with Little House over the past two years to help strengthen our bed-based substance use programs in two keys areas, family services and continuing care,” explained Keir Macdonald, CEO of Phoenix Society. “Little House has some really amazing programs and it just made sense for us to partner rather than re-create something and things just grew from there. We look forward to welcoming the community for this event and hope you will join us to celebrate our merger and learn more about all we do.”
